Therapy

Gentle, grounded ways to heal and grow.

Beyond her Huna practice, Madison is trained in a range of healing therapies. Each session is shaped around you: what you are carrying, what you hope to change, and the pace that feels right.

Healing therapies

The therapies Madison works with

Most sessions draw on two or three of these, chosen together with you. Outcomes vary from person to person, and none of these practices replaces medical or psychological care.

Mind and change work

Hypnosis, NLP, and Time Line Therapy®: working with the subconscious, with memory, and with the language we use on ourselves.

Hypnotherapy

Focused, relaxed attention for change.

What it is

A natural state of deep relaxation and focused attention, guided by the therapist, in which the mind becomes more open to new ideas and perspectives. You stay aware and in control throughout.

What a session involves

A conversation about what you want to change, a guided induction into relaxation, then suggestions and imagery tailored to your goal. Many sessions end with a recording or a self-hypnosis practice to use at home.

What it can help with

Stress and worry, sleep, confidence, habits such as smoking or nail-biting, and preparing for exams, performances, or medical procedures.

Regression Hypnosis

Revisiting the past with present-day resources.

What it is

A form of hypnotherapy that gently guides you back to earlier experiences connected with a feeling or pattern you notice today.

What a session involves

In a relaxed state you follow a feeling back to where it seems to begin, then revisit that moment with the understanding and resources you have now. Memories recalled under hypnosis are not always accurate, so the work focuses on meaning and emotional release rather than establishing facts.

What it can help with

Understanding repeating patterns, easing the emotional charge of the past, and making peace with earlier chapters of your life.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming

How language, thought, and behaviour shape one another.

What it is

An approach developed in California in the 1970s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, built on studying how people who handle life well actually think and communicate.

What a session involves

Practical, conversational techniques: reframing how you see a situation, anchoring calm or confident states so you can call on them, and noticing the strategies that already work for you.

What it can help with

Clearer communication, motivation, steadier reactions under pressure, and new habits of thought.

Time Line Therapy®

Releasing the weight of the past; setting the course for the future.

What it is

A structured technique developed by Tad James in 1985, drawing on NLP and hypnotherapy, that works with the way each of us mentally arranges past and future.

What a session involves

Together you identify your personal time line and the key events on it. You then release the emotional charge they still carry (anger, sadness, fear, hurt, or guilt), let go of limiting decisions, and place clear goals in your future.

What it can help with

Feeling lighter about the past, loosening beliefs such as “I am not good enough,” and greater clarity and confidence about what comes next.

Energy healing

Reiki and chakra work: gentle, restful sessions that attend to the body's energy and the nervous system.

Usui Reiki

Gentle hands-on healing from Japan.

What it is

A healing practice developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the 1920s. It is offered as a complementary therapy and is not tied to any religion.

What a session involves

You rest, fully clothed, while the practitioner places her hands lightly on or just above the body in a slow sequence of positions. Sessions last 45 to 90 minutes and can also be given at a distance.

What it can help with

Deep rest, a calmer nervous system, and a sense of balance. Research is still limited, though some small studies report reduced anxiety and improved relaxation.

Kundalini Reiki

Reiki attuned to the energy of the spine.

What it is

A more recent branch of Reiki that works with kundalini, described in yogic tradition as the life energy that rises along the spine.

What a session involves

Similar to a Usui session, with particular attention to the spine and the body's energy centres.

What it can help with

Feeling energised yet grounded, and support for meditation and spiritual practice.

Energy Balancing & Chakra Work

Restoring flow through the seven energy centres.

What it is

Work with the seven chakras, the energy centres described in Indian yogic tradition, which run from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.

What a session involves

Madison senses where energy feels blocked or depleted, then uses touch, breath, sound, colour, and visualisation to restore its flow.

What it can help with

Feeling scattered or stuck, emotional heaviness, and reconnecting body, heart, and mind.

Breath, yoga, and meditation

Contemplative paths Madison has been initiated into, taught as practices you can carry into daily life.

Kriya Yoga

A meditative path of breath and life energy.

What it is

A spiritual discipline revived by Lahiri Mahasaya in 1861 and brought to the West by Paramahansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi.

What a session involves

Specific pranayama (breathing) techniques that draw attention and life energy along the spine, practised together with meditation. It is traditionally taught step by step, after initiation.

What it can help with

A quieter, steadier mind, deeper meditation, and a committed daily spiritual practice.

Raja Yoga

The “royal” path of meditation.

What it is

The path of meditation set out in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and organised as eight limbs.

What a session involves

Ethical living, posture, breath, withdrawal of the senses, concentration, and meditation, practised as one path rather than as exercise alone.

What it can help with

Focus, self-discipline, emotional steadiness, and a clearer sense of meaning.

Meditation & Visualisation

Training attention; imagining with intention.

What it is

Guided practices that settle and train the attention, and that use imagery deliberately to rehearse the life you are working towards.

What a session involves

Short guided sessions in person or online, plus recordings and simple routines to use at home.

What it can help with

Stress, sleep, focus, and a clear inner picture of your goals. Meditation is among the most widely researched of these practices, with consistent evidence that it reduces stress.

Questions

Is this a replacement for medical or psychological treatment?

No. Madison's work is complementary. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or psychological condition, and it is not a substitute for licensed care. Please continue any treatment you are receiving, and speak to your doctor or therapist about any health concerns.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Life coaching looks forward: it starts from where you are and works towards goals you choose. The healing therapies work more with feelings, memories, and patterns carried from the past. Many people benefit from both, and Madison will suggest whichever suits what you bring.

Can sessions take place online?

Yes. Hypnotherapy, coaching, and guided meditation work well by video, and Reiki and energy balancing can be offered at a distance. In-person sessions are available by arrangement.

Will I lose control under hypnosis?

No. Hypnosis is a state of focused attention and relaxation. You remain aware, you can speak and open your eyes at any time, and you will not do anything you do not want to do.

What happens in a first session?

You will talk through what brought you here and what you would like to change. Madison will explain the approaches she suggests, and you decide together how to proceed. Nothing happens without your agreement.

Which languages are sessions offered in?

Sessions are offered in English and several other languages. Mention your preferred language when you book.

Is what I share kept private?

Yes. What you share in sessions stays between you and Madison, and intake forms are stored securely.

Holistic practices complement, and never replace, licensed medical or psychological care. Read the disclaimer.
